Well, this sucks. The Green Bay Packers were just a few days away from their Week 17 matchup against the Chicago Bears with the NFC's No. 1 seed on the line, and a hopefully, a Super Bowl push to follow. However, we would learn on Thursday evening that star left tackle David Bakhtiari had reportedly torn his ACL in practice and is out for the remainder of the season.
This is clearly a huge blow to a Super Bowl contender as they lose possibly the second most important player on this team. 2020 was turning into another ho-hum All-Pro campaign for Bakhtiari as he had allowed only one sack and nine total pressures in 446 pass-blocking snaps.
