Los Angeles (AFP) - Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson was hospitalized overnight after suffering a rib injury in Sunday's 38-13 NFL playoff win over the New York Giants, the team said Monday.
Nelson, 31, was hit in the midsection by Giants safety Leon Hall after a dropped pass early in the second quarter.
He was initially listed as questionable to return but was later ruled out. He made one catch for 13 yards in the victory.
After spending the night in the hospital he was released, but Nelson's availability for next Sunday's game against the Cowboys in Dallas was unclear.
