Sunday night’s defeat to Pittsburgh was as gut-wrenching as they come. The Packers pushed a red-hot Steelers team all the way, despite playing without their two-time MVP quarterback, their top two running backs, a key defensive lineman and their all-time sack leader.
What the result means is Green Bay sits at 5-6, the same record they held at this point last year. Like then, they’ll need to win their final five to have any hope of securing a playoff berth.
Win out and the Packers will have a good chance of grabbing a wild-card and entering the postseason as a team nobody wants to play.
