Green Bay — Julius Peppers made so many momentous plays on the cheap last season that the Green Bay Packers would have come across as ingrates had they knocked on his door seeking a pay cut for 2015.
Instead, the Packers never said a peep as Peppers' base salary soars from a bargain-basement $1 million to $8.5 million in the second year of the three-year, $26 million contract that he signed in March 2014.
One year ago, Peppers was 34, entering his 13th season and fresh from a pink slip courtesy of the Chicago Bears.
