Packers name new lead director, add first woman to executive committee

Green Bay — Fast-rising Thomas Olson, a relative newcomer to the ruling hierarchy of the Green Bay Packers, is the new vice president and lead director of the corporation.

Olson was elected to those positions Tuesday at the Packers' annual shareholders meeting at Lambeau Field just as Susan Finco of De Pere became the first woman elected to the executive committee.

The makeup of the executive committee, a seven-member branch of the 45-member board of directors, is determined by Packers president Mark Murphy.

"I'm pleased," Murphy said. "We've got great leadership there and a good cross-section of different types of skills and backgrounds.
