With the Green Bay Packers deciding to use the second-round tender on Robert Tonyan, there are now only two potential outcomes this offseason.
Either Tonyan returns to Green Bay next season or the team will receive a second-round pick as compensation.
That’s because, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Packers have submitted the $3.38 million restricted free agent tender, the second-most expensive. But by spending a bit more money, the Packers get some extra security.
