One day after the Green Bay Packers removed Jordan Love from the injury list, the team felt compelled to add another quarterback to the roster ahead of Sunday's Wild Card playoff game with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Packers signed quarterback Sean Clifford to the 53-man roster so he can serve as an emergency backup to Love if needed in Sunday's NFC Wild Card game against the host Philadelphia Eagles, the team announced Saturday.
Love is off the injury list and is expected to start Sunday, with backup QB Malik Willis also expected to be ready to play but both have been dealing with injuries this week.
