Despite not making the Pro Bowl, Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari earned first-team All-Pro honors for the 2018 season. The award come from the Associated Press which, along with the Pro Football Writers of America, vote on the NFL’s best player every year.
Bakhtiari’s status as an All-Pro and not a Pro Bowler shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. The AP also recognized Indianapolis Colts linebacker Darius Leonard, who like Bakhtiari didn’t make the Pro Bowl, as a first-team All-Pro. This follows on 2017’s discrepancy where Bakhtiari also missed the Pro Bowl last season as well despite earning second-team All-Pro honors.
