One of the biggest off-season question marks for the Green Bay Packers in 2023 is the safety position, and finding the answers may be more difficult than previously thought.
Entering the 2022 campaign, there was optimism in Green Bay that safety could be a position of strength.
Anchored by the uber reliable Adrian Amos, the floor of the group should have been high, and based on the expectation former-first round pick Darnell Savage would rebound from a disappointing 2021, it was easy to see a path to a successful back-end pairing.
Instead, Amos’ play noticeably deteriorated as he seemed to have lost a yard (or two) of his speed.
