For the second time this season, the Green Bay Packers have had a practice squad player poached to another team’s 53-man roster. The first player they lost was tight end Messiah Swinson, who was picked up by the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. Swinson, who was later released by the Panthers, has since re-signed with the Packers’ practice squad.
Now, Green Bay has reportedly lost offensive lineman Lecitus Smith. Smith, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, has been picked up by the New England Patriots — who are struggling with injuries at the position.
