Packers lose 34-29 to Eagles in Brazil, but late injury to Jordan Love may be even more costly

Penalties and missed opportunities will haunt the Green Bay Packers, should a difficult loss in week one come back to haunt them later on in the 2024 season. In the season opener, the Packers dropped a 34-29 decision to the Philadelphia Eagles in a game decided at least in part by Green Bay’s inability to capitalize on turnovers in the first quarter.

Jalen Hurts turned the ball over twice before the Eagles picked up a single first down, giving Green Bay two chances to start inside Philadelphia’s 25-yard line. But the Packers managed just six points on those two drives and just 9 points on the three turnovers that they forced in the game, while Jordan Love was dealing with some inaccuracy throughout the game.
