GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Lombardi Middle School is now home to a bronze bust of Vince Lombardi, one of the most successful coaches in NFL history. It’s part of the Packers Hall of Fame Inc.’s Legacy Series, which aims to recognize Packers greats in schools and shares their stories with students, visitors and the Green Bay community.
This marks the program’s second bust installation. Last fall, a bust of Curly Lambeau was placed at Green Bay East High School’s City Stadium.
Lombardi’s bust is located in front of the school’s auditorium. Two of his former players, Dave Robinson and Marv Fleming, were in attendance and spoke at the ceremony.
