Packers LB Krys Barnes has thumb injury, questionable to return vs. Rams

The Green Bay Packers have their first notable injury of the postseason after one quarter of play against the Los Angeles Rams. Late in the first quarter on the Rams’ lone offensive series of the opening stanza, starting inside linebacker Krys Barnes had to head to the locker room.

The Packers later announced that Barnes is questionable to return to the game with a thumb injury,

Barnes has started the last few games as the team’s primary Mike linebacker, taking over the starting job from veteran Christian Kirksey. If Barnes needs to miss time, Kirksey would likely move back to the middle, with rookie fifth-round pick Kamal Martin taking over Kirksey’s normal spot at the weak-side inside linebacker spot.
