The day of defensive injuries continues for the Green Bay Packers. After seeing Kentrell Brice and Mike Daniels depart practice with injuries, linebacker Jake Ryan left on a cart after suffering an apparently serious injury to his right leg, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.
Ryan entered training camp as the front-runner to start at inside linebacker next to Blake Martinez. Ryan has dealt with serious leg issues in the past, suffering a torn ACL during his collegiate career at Michigan. Prior to his injury, Ryan’s most notable moment Monday came when newly acquired tight end Jimmy Graham beat him deep.
