The Packers have used free agency to sign a tight end in each of the past three offseasons. They should draft a tight end this year, but if they also decide to use free agency, Jared Cook would be one of the top options available.
Cook played a key role in the Packers’ “run the table” finish to the 2016 season, but he wasn’t re-signed the following spring. Green Bay replaced Cook with former teammate Lance Kendricks and Martellus Bennett.
The following year, new GM Brian Gutekunst brought in Jimmy Graham to a three-year deal.
