Packers interviewing Buccaneers assistant Kacy Rodgers for DL coach job

The Green Bay Packers are interviewing Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers for the team’s open defensive line coach job on Tuesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

This is the second known interview for the job since the Packers fired Jason Rebrovich last week. The team has also interviewed New York Jets defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton.

Per Rapoport, Rodgers is a coaching free agent after six seasons with the Buccaneers. He has been the team’s run game coordinator over the last three seasons.

Before Tampa Bay, Rodgers was the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets under Todd Bowles between 2015-18, the defensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins between 2008-14 and the defensive line for the Dallas Cowboys between 2005-07, giving him vast experience coaching the position group and leading defensive players.
