On Friday, head coach Matt LaFleur announced in his post-practice press conference that cornerback Jaire Alexander (ankle) was going to be listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week. During a walkthrough practice on Wednesday, Alexander — the All-Pro starting cornerback — was injured in what LaFleur called a “freak deal” when Alexander stepped on a teammate’s foot and rolled his own ankle.
If Alexander can’t go, Green Bay’s top outside cornerback options against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend will be rookie seventh-round pick Carrington Valentine and former practice squadder Corey Ballentine.
