The only player on the Green Bay Packers’ 53-man roster to not suit up for Wednesday’s practice was cornerback Jaire Alexander, who dropped out of action versus the Chicago Bears on Sunday after just 10 snaps played defensively. According to head coach Matt LaFleur after the game, the plan was always to play Alexander — who was dealing with a knee injury — on a pitch count, but Alexander was unable to finish the game as it was apparent that he wasn’t at full health.
If there’s any silver lining here, it’s that Carrington Valentine, who was Alxander’s replacement in the game, is playing well this season as he ranks second among qualifying cornerbacks in yards allowed per coverage snap.
