You know when you talk about the Green Bay Packers, you’re certain to be talking about one thing year after year — injuries.
The Packers suffered several notable ones in their preseason opener. The most significant was probably to cornerback Damarious Randall. The most brutal was to rookie receiver Malachi Dupre. The most severe looked to be to backup center Don Barclay.
Well, the news isn’t all bad a day later.
Both Randall and Dupre — who took a helmet-to-chest shot — have concussions. They are currently in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Barclay injured an ankle, that immediately looked like it might be the sort of injury that could end a season.
