Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy appears to have filled another vacancy on his coaching staff. According to Fox Sports' Alex Marvez, the team has hired Ben Sirmans as its new running backs coach.
Sirmans' most recently worked on the St. Louis Rams' coaching staff, helping Todd Gurley become one of the best tailbacks in the league as a rookie. Prior to his stint with the Rams, Sirmans coaching running backs at Rutgers and Boston College. He also spent time at Maine, Kent State and Michigan State.
The coaching position came open after McCarthy fired Sam Gash earlier in the week.
