Packers Help Wanted: Dynamic Tight End

During Aaron Rodgers’ tenure with the Green Bay Packers, the one piece that the star quarterback has lacked in his offense most seasons is a dynamic, playmaking tight end. Early in Rodgers’ career, Jermichael Finley had all the makings of a stud tight end, but his career was cut short due to a devastating spinal cord injury from a blow during a week seven game in 2013. Other than Finley, Green Bay’s tight ends have been a group of average guys, with no tight end even sniffing the top 10 year-end receiving statistics for the position. It is arguable that the Packers offenses under Rodgers saw their best years with Finley as a threat in the middle of the field.
