The 2018 season is finally over for the Green Bay Packers, who fired head coach Mike McCarthy with four weeks remaining. Packers team president Mark Murphy is leading the search and will make the final call on the hire, with general manager Brian Gutekunst playing a primary advisory role.
So far, the Packers have reportedly interviewed at least two candidates, both former Indianapolis Colts head coaches. Those two are Chuck Pagano and Jim Caldwell, who were both out of football in 2018 and were eligible for interviews immediately after McCarthy’s firing.
There are also a handful of individuals who are reportedly on the Packers’ radar and for whom the team intends to submit interview requests.
