Sometimes, it’s hard to have patience, to see the bigger picture and right now, with fans of the Green Bay Packers, that’s exactly what’s going on.
Under new leadership in the front office, Brian Gutekunst, the Packers were supposed to be more aggressive in free agency and in some ways, they have been. Gutekunst reeled in Jimmy Graham and Muhammad Wilkerson and did it for the same salary the club would have paid to Jordy Nelson next season.
It was tough to move on from Nelson, but the ability to shore up two other spots and still have $20 million in cap space was just too smart not to do.
