Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst started his post-NFL trade deadline press conference on Tuesday by thanking defensive end Preston Smith, who was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers today after 5.5 seasons with the team. While many Packers fans were hoping that Gutekunst would add a pass rusher — not trade one — or a cornerback at the deadline, this was the lone transaction that Green Bay made.
