Packers free-agent linebacker Eric Wilson is heading back to the Vikings

GREEN BAY − Former Green Bay Packers linebacker Eric Wilson is returning to the Minnesota Vikings, the organization announced Friday.

Wilson played for the Packers from 2022-24, providing depth at linebacker and was a key piece on special teams.

He started in 12 of 17 games in Green Bay in 2024, recording more than 500 snaps with 72 total tackles, including seven tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, two sacks, two passes defended, one interception and a forced fumble.

This is Wilson’s second stint in Minnesota after spending the first four seasons of his career there (2017-20) after he was picked up as a free agent out of Cincinnati.
