Michael, too, is a free agent, but won’t cost much to bring back. The former Seahawk and Cowboy has spent time around the league and shouldn’t be trusted as a workhorse back, but he’s a valuable asset to have on the roster.
Michael started 2016 with the Seahawks, rushing for 469 yards and six touchdowns. In Green Bay, he added 114 yards and a touchdown.
He couldn’t leapfrog Ty Montgomery on the depth chart, largely as a result of joining the Packers midseason. Struggles to pickup the playbook were clear, and something he’d need to lock down with an entire offseason to prepare.
