Packers free agency 2017: Salary cap update following Nick Perry signing

Perry’s deal is worth $60 million with $18.5 million guaranteed, which is a modest deal considering he was signed on the first day of free agency. His cap hit for 2017 is just $6 million.

This leaves Green Bay with $33.4 million, per OverTheCap.com, which is more than enough to make some noise on the market.

Before anything, the Packers must take care of their own free agents.

Perry is the only unrestricted free agent back in Green Bay. Micah Hyde (Bills) and JC Tretter (Browns) have departed. Julius Peppers is expected to be reunited with the Carolina Panthers, per Ian Rapoport.
