Packers free agency 2017: Julius Peppers signing with Panthers, per report

For Peppers, his Hall-of-Fame career gets the chance to finish up where it all started.

It’s no surprise to see Peppers depart Green Bay. Despite finishing second on the team in sacks last year with 7.5, his play dropped off over his time with the Packers. Many thought he would retire at the end of his three-year deal.

What this does mean is the Packers need to replace those sacks.

Can Nick Perry, who re-signed Thursday, and Clay Matthews pick up the slack? Both would need to dodge the injury bug.
