GREEN BAY – Having had a year to become familiar with digital ticketing, Green Bay Packers fans could discover this season how handy that can be.
The Packers during Family Night on Friday will use pedestal-style ticket scanners that should speed up the time it takes for fans to enter Lambeau Field, which means less time standing in line waiting to get in and possibly more time tailgating beforehand.
Family Night is a full-blown Packers practice. It allows the team to practice on Lambeau Field with a game-like atmosphere: crowds cheering, gameday music, scoreboards in use and the like.
