Packers fall to Chiefs in preseason finale, 17-7

KANSAS CITY – The Chiefs came up with a goal-line stand late in the fourth quarter and handed the Packers their only loss of the preseason, 17-7 on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium.

Here’s a quarter-by-quarter recap of the action.

4th quarter:

The Packers nearly got their third interception of the night on the opening drive of the fourth, but rookie S Kentrell Brice couldn’t quite come down with a high throw deep over the middle by Chiefs QB Kevin Hogan.

On the ensuing Packers punt, rookie S Marwin Evans got sandwiched by an illegal blindside block by the Chiefs and was down on the field for a few minutes, but he got up and walked off under his own power.
