Tramon Williams should be in his comfortable #38 uniform for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon. Days after signing to the team's practice squad, the longtime veteran was elevated to the active roster on Saturday for this weekend's NFC Championship game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Williams gets a special classification as a COVID-19 emergency replacement elevation, allowed due to the team having offensive tackle Jared Veldheer on the reserve/COVID-19 list. That means that the Packers can bring two additional players up from the practice squad as standard elevations.
Indeed, the Packers did just that, bringing up fellow cornerback KeiVarae Russell and defensive lineman Brian Price along with Williams.
