Packers elevate safety Omar Brown from practice squad to gameday roster against Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS – The Green Bay Packers have elevated safety Omar Brown from the practice squad to the gameday roster for a second straight week, the club announced Saturday.

Brown played eight snaps on defense and six on special teams in the Packers34-0 victory over New Orleans last week. His defensive snaps came late in the game after the Packers pulled some of their starters.

It’s possible the Packers aren't confident rookie safety Javon Bullard (ankle) is ready to return from an ankle injury that has caused him to miss the past two games and want Brown available.
