DETROIT − With Jaire Alexander ruled out of Thursday night’s game at the Detroit Lions because of a knee injury, the Green Bay Packers are calling up a reinforcement at their cornerback position.
The Packers elevated rookie cornerback Kalen King to the active roster for gameday. It’s the first time King, a seventh-round draft pick this spring, has been elevated to the active roster for gameday this season.
The Lions also announced that they signed wide receiver Maurice Alexander to the active roster from the practice squad, and elevated defensive back Jamal Adams and outside linebacker Mitchell Agude from the practice squad to the active roster for tonight’s game.
