Earlier this afternoon, the Packers announced two practice squad elevations for tomorrow's season opener against the Vikings.
Safety Micah Abernathy and wide receiver Juwann Winfree will be active and available for the Packers.
Abernathy, a first-year player out of the University of Tennessee who was signed late into training camp this summer, originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He has also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts and played for the Dallas Renegades of the XFL in 2020 and the Houston Gamblers of the USFL in 2022
Winfree appeared in two games for the Packers last season, seeing limited action on offense and special teams after being elevated to the active roster.
