Packers elevate FB/TE Andrew Beck after Luke Musgrave goes on IR

On Friday, the Green Bay Packers officially announced that they placed their tight end Luke Musgrave on the injured reserve for an ankle injury he attempted to play through last week. Musgrave will be out of the picture until after the team’s bye, opening a return for Week 11 in Chicago.

To make up for Musgrave’s spot on the roster, the Packers plucked tight end John FitzPatrick, a player known for blocking at Georgia, off of the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad. FitzPatrick made it clear after practice on Friday that he isn’t expected to play for Green Bay this week, as it’s simply too quick of a turnaround.
