The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers 37-20 in last season’s NFC Championship Game on Jan. 19 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
On Thursday night, the Packers returned for a rematch, but it was a vastly different San Francisco team that Green Bay swamped 34-17 than the one that went to Super Bowl LIV in February.
San Francisco put two offensive starters on reserve/injured and three more on reserve/COVID-19 on Thursday. The 49ers already had two wide receivers, two running backs and their center on reserve/injured and another wide receiver on reserve/COVID-19.
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 25-of-31 passes for 305 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions before leaving the game in the fourth quarter as the Packers built a 34-3 lead.
