GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers are giving back to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Athletic Department.
On Tuesday, the team and UW-Green Bay announced the Packers are giving the university $250,000, which helps kickstart a fundraising campaign with a goal of $1 million.
The gift is in honor of Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy, who is retiring in July.
“I’m tremendously honored that the Packers are making this lead gift to UW-Green Bay to establish the endowed Athletic Director position,” said Murphy in a press release. “I have loved my involvement with UW-Green Bay and am so pleased that we can help the school in this manner.
