Chicago – An optimist might point out that the Green Bay Packers allowed 46 fewer rushing yards to the Chicago Bears Sunday than they did in the first meeting of the two teams last year.
A realist would remember the Packers' defense that was gouged for 235 on Sept. 28 at Lambeau Field ranked as the NFL's worst in mid-2014.
No one in Packerland wants a return to those dark days. So there was little satisfaction among Green Bay's defenders after the Bears cranked out 189 on the ground in the Packers' 31-23 victory at Soldier Field.
