Packers cut Christine Michael after drafting 3 running backs

  • The Green Bay Packers released running back Christine Michael after drafting three potential replacements for the veteran on Day 3 of the 2017 NFL Draft.
  • BYU’s Jamaal Williams, one of the Packers’ fourth-round picks, was our sixth-highest-graded running back in 2016 and forced a missed tackle every 4.27 rushes, more often than the likes of Christian McCaffrey (5.72) and Leonard Fournette (6.14) this past year.
  • In the fifth round, the Packers added UTEP running back Aaron Jones, who tied for fifth in the nation in breakaway runs of more than 15 yards in 2016.
