Packers confirm Elgton Jenkins is moving to center after Aaron Banks signing

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst confirmed Pro Bowl guard Elgton Jenkins is moving inside to center in 2025 after the team signed left guard Aaron Banks in free agency, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site. The team believes Jenkins has "All-Pro" potential at center, a position he played at both the collegiate and professional level previously.

Banks, who signed a four-year deal with $29 million guaranteed, has played almost 3,000 career snaps at left guard in the NFL. Instead of moving a more specialized player like Banks to a new position, the Packers will move Jenkins, a versatile five-position player who has started games at four different positions over his first six NFL seasons, including both tackle spots, left guard and center.
