The Senior Bowl announced on Wednesday that Green Bay Packers passing game coordinator Jason Vrable, who previously served as the team’s wide receiver coach from 2020 through 2023, will be the National Team’s offensive coordinator for the week of practice in Mobile, Alabama this year. Vrable is an interesting name, as he’s likely up for an offensive coordinator role under Matt LaFleur, who likes to hire in-house when possible, whenever current offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich ends up leaving for greener pastures.
Stenavich currently has an interview for the Chicago Bears’ head coaching position lined up, but there’s also a chance that LaFleur, who understands the value of being a play-caller, would let him walk for a “lateral” job that would see Stenavich earn a play-calling opportunity.
