GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Mike McCarthy doesn’t usually like his players to say anything outrageous or make any promises, but he was all for his quarterback’s comment on Wednesday that the Green Bay Packers can “run the table.”
That remark surely prompted some 'yeah, right" responses, given that the Packers are on a four-game losing streak and stand at 4-6 heading into Monday night’s game at Philadelphia.
“I love it,” McCarthy said Friday. “It’s an expression of confidence. That’s a statement that he made. I read about it just like everybody else. I think it just shows what’s going on internally, but the fact of the matter is we have to win the next game.
