Packers, Chris Banjo reach injury settlement

Lost in the wake of the release of Knile Davis, the Green Bay Packers made another notable roster move Monday. According to the NFL’s official transaction wire, the team reached an injury settlement with Chris Banjo, ending his Green Bay tenure.

A hamstring injury forced Banjo out of the Packers’ Week 4 tilt with the New York Giants, sidelining him for several weeks. Before he could return, injuries at other positions forced the team to place the safety on injured reserve in order to free up a roster spot. Banjo could have returned late in the season, though Green Bay figures to use their one return designation elsewhere.
