GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers aren’t allowed to talk about the playoffs until they get to 10 wins. That’s coach Mike McCarthy’s rule.
But they could get to the postseason with win No. 9 on Saturday over the Minnesota Vikings and some help.
According to the scenarios released by the NFL on Tuesday, here’s what has to happen in Week 16 for the Packers to make the playoffs:
A Packers win over the Vikings
A Redskins loss or tie against the Bears
A Falcons win or tie against the Panthers
If those three results occur, the Packers would clinch the strength of victory tiebreaker over the Buccaneers.
