The Green Bay Packers announced the signing of linebacker Kristian Welch, returning the Wisconsin native to Green Bay and giving Rich Bisaccia a potential special teams asset in 2025.
Welch, who grew up in Iola, Wisconsin, played in 12 regular season games and two postseason games for the Packers in 2023. After not making the team's 53-man roster to open 2024, Welch spent time with the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens during the 2024 season, appearing in 15 total games. The Packers originally signed Welch to the practice squad before the 2023 season.
