Even weeks into training camp, the Green Bay Packers continue to fiddle with their 90-man roster. On Saturday, the team successfully claimed pass James Hearns, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
Hearns, a 6-foot-3, 239-pound pass rusher from Louisville, went undrafted this past April, eventually signing with the Dallas Cowboys in May. The Cowboys waived him to make room for Joby Saint Fleur, leaving Hearns available for any team willing to place a claim.
As the Packers’ roster already stands at 90 players, they will need to make a corresponding move in order to open up a spot for Hearns.
