The Green Bay Packers’ already questionable secondary got a little thinner on Tuesday. The team released cornerback Makinton Dorleant after he failed a physical.
This is the second such move the Packers have made in recent weeks. After claiming defensive lineman Ego Ferguson off waivers from the Bears on April 3, the Packers released him on April 9 with the failed physical designation.
Maybe there’s actually a message in here: we’re not taking any chances in keeping injury-prone players around. As we all know, the Packers end up being an injury parade season after season.
