Last week, the Green Bay Packers announced their coaching staff for the 2018 season, formally finalizing all of the positions on the offensive and defensive staffs.
Well, they finalized all but one.
The status of former safeties coach Darren Perry remained in question, as he remained under contract but without a title for the upcoming season. Head coach Mike McCarthy said at the time that Perry's status would be finalized by the end of the week, and though he was a few days off, the team made an announcement to that effect on Monday.
Perry is departing the team "for other opportunities", according to the team's press release.
