Packers again should focus on cornerback, tight end in free agency

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Here are the moves the Green Bay Packers should consider when free agency opens at 4 p.m. ET Wednesday, March 14:

Sign a veteran cornerback: If this sounds familiar, it's because it was the No. 1 priority last offseason, too. The Packers went with Davon House on a one-year deal. While House proved serviceable and could be back on another short-term deal, the hole at cornerback is so great that an impact corner would be ideal. Kyle Fuller may have been on the Packers' wish list before the Chicago Bears put the transition tag on him, but there are other options such as Malcolm Butler, who appears on his way out in New England, or the Los Angeles Rams' Trumaine Johnson, who if paired with Kevin King would give the Packers two tall cornerbacks.
