GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The Green Bay Packers have signed receiver Geronimo Allison and safety Jermaine Whitehead from the practice squad.
Allison and Whitehead were promoted to the active roster on Monday. They replace receiver Jared Abbrederis (quad) and safety Chris Banjo (hamstring), who were placed on injured reserve.
The addition of Allison may mean that all-purpose receiver Ty Montgomery will continue to get extensive snaps at running back to help replace the injured Eddie Lacy and James Starks .
